The EFSUMB Interventional Guidelines are in the final stages of preparation:

These procedures have revolutionized everyday clinical practice with the advantages of an unsurpassed sharpness of detail and excellent controllability consequent to the real-time visual display, the wide availability of ultrasound equipment, and a simple and straightforward practical technique. Endoscopic ultrasound has made “hidden places” accessible for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

1. Part I: General aspects of interventional ultrasound.
2. Part II: Diagnostic procedures.
3. Part III: Treatment procedures using the transcutaneous approach.
4. Part IV: Diagnostic procedures using endoscopic ultrasound.
5. Part V: Therapeutic procedures using endoscopic ultrasound.
6. Part VI: Vascular access.

Experts from Europe have contributed to these Guidelines which will be ePublished very shortly.

Consensus Meeting in Frankfurt January 2015 – two very full days! Check the EFSUMB website in the coming weeks.
