3-day intensive course in clinical ultrasound applied to hepatology.
Run in conjunction with UCL attendees will benefit from hands-on training to complement the essential theory sessions. Both theory and practical sessions will be held in the Atrium at the Royal Free Hospital. Participants will have the opportunity to be guided by internationally recognized experts in clinical ultrasound. The lectures will range from basic medical ultrasound to the assessment of chronic liver disease, vascular and biliary pathology to the latest advances such as contrast enhanced ultrasound and tissue elastography.
On the first day practical sessions will be carried out on healthy subjects to familiarize with normal anatomy. On the second day attendees will have the opportunity to focus on different real cases of liver pathology and the 3rd day will be dedicated to the clinical application of different elastographic techniques.
As you progress through the booking pages you will be asked to give your level of experience please answer as honestly as possible this is so we can allocate practical groups correctly and so you get the best out of the day.
